About The Wildwood Arborist

The Wildwood Arborist is a low-impact arboriculture company focused on tree preservation, thoughtful management, and responsible care in Western North Carolina.

We believe trees deserve to be managed with consideration for their long-term health, structure, and place within the landscape. Our work is centered around preserving valuable trees whenever practical and using carefully considered arboricultural practices to help them remain healthy, structurally sound, and safe for the people and properties around them.

Our services include prescription pruning, structural support systems, tree health and disease investigation, long-term management planning, specialized canopy access, and other preservation-focused work. We approach each tree individually, taking into account its species, age, structure, growing conditions, and the goals of the property owner rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

When a tree requires further investigation, our specialized canopy access allows us to reach areas that cannot be properly evaluated from the ground. This may include examining structural defects, collecting samples for laboratory testing, or safely retrieving objects and assisting with animals that have become stranded in the canopy.

We place particular value on mature and veteran trees. These trees can take decades or even centuries to develop the character, ecological value, and presence that make them irreplaceable. Whenever practical, our team looks for ways to manage existing trees rather than defaulting to removal.

Our philosophy is simple: accomplish the objective with as little impact as possible. Whether the goal is improving structure, managing a defect, investigating a health concern, or preserving a mature tree around a home, we strive to find effective solutions while minimizing unnecessary impact on the tree and surrounding landscape.

The Wildwood Arborist is rooted in Western North Carolina and dedicated to providing thoughtful, specialized arboricultural services for the trees that matter most.
